Jeremy, you make me want to become a writer. You eloquently depict each and every moment of our time in Salvador da Bahia. I enjoyed reading about your times in Chapada Diamantina too! I've learned that the key part of a good travel experience is picking the right place, the right people, and the right sights to see. It seems you have a knack for doing that. I was a little bit lost in Thailand when it came to what to see and there are some things I regret but hey it's all part of the learning experience- the more traveled you are, the more you learn how to better travel. Anyway, what I'm getting at is that your Brazil trip looks amazing and I think if I went to the same country my adventure would be super boring compared to yours. =P

Oh my GOSH. That's incredible! I can't believe places like that exist. You had to work to get there but I appreciate looking at it from home. Heh. Maybe some day I'll try...with hiking shoes.

Side note. I once hiked to delicate arch in flip flops when I was 8 months pregnant. It was the worst experience of my life, and we didn't have a camera so I can't even prove it.
