25 Thoughts About Turning 25

1) I am no longer under the oppression of the “young males cause accidents” statistic. Goodbye high auto insurance rates.

2) Add two zeros in the middle of my age, and you’ll always know the year.

3) This will stop working in 2010.

4) I feel like I already have Alzheimer’s, considering I can’t remember anything that’s happened in the last 25 years, up until this very moment.

5) I’m doing what with the who now?

6) Things feel eerily similar to how they did when I was 24, except that now the square root of me is 5.

7) Having 5 as your square root really isn’t that cool.

8) My mother called and left two messages where she sang every version of the “happy birthday” song she knows, including those from restaurants she frequents. It took two messages because she had to stop and start over several times. My mother is whacky.

9) A friend in France called, which was nice, although I now know I have lost all ability to speak and understand French before 10 a.m.

10) When you have previously gifted a friend with “Get in Shape, Girl,” a disturbing book featuring 7-year-olds in leotards from the 1980s, they are sure to retaliate.

11) Cake gets old...fast.

12-24) drivel

25) I don’t mind 25. But I fear 26. Fear it like the very devil.

Thank you much. It was bright and sunny (like 75 degrees) yesterday...so very nice. And today it's a cold and rainy 40 degrees. And you know God made it that way JUST for me. I got major hook-ups like that.

Happy Belated Birthday J!

25 huh? Geez, that makes me feel old. I don't really remember 25 and it was only about 2.5 yrs ago. Damn memory loss...

Happy birthday, kiddo. You're wrong about something though. Having 5 as your square root is SO FUCKING COOL!

Hey Jeremy,

Happy Birthday, you wee little thing you! 25 was easy peasy. I think 28 is the one you gotta watch out for, so lucky you... you still have another 3 years to rock heavy and hard before the hair crisis, the paunch crisis and numerous other.... crisis. (is the plural of crisis, crisis?)

Happy birthday two days ago! *hug*

Ahh, Get in Shape, Girl. I had that tape!! It featured a very motivated voice actress coaching you through various exercises, touching your toes and whatnot. I didn't use it a single damn time.

I think the plural of crisis is crises.

Thanks Jean... I am an idiot, and I checked dictionary.com afterwards to remind myself so.... and I forgot something.

Bon Anniversaire Mon Vieux

(now if you can't get that, you're not only square, you're obtuse)

Hey Jeremy... I, too, recently turned the big 2-5. Well, four months ago, but I still feel like it just happened. I hated it. Every minute of it... except for the vacation to FL when I could rent a car at a normal, semi-affordable price. That was cool... and so was not letting my non-25 year old boyfriend drive the 2005 spyder convertable we had rented. hahahaha...

Thanks, all, for the well wishes!
